Its lovely to see all the pics of him enoying himself and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend your service. Once again, many thanks and big licks from Colt x

Tonkenese in Christmas collars

A belated huge thank you to Naptha and all the wonderful staff who loved and cared for Willow our labradoodle and Corkey and Lottie our two very naughty but great fun cats for a whole month including Christmas while we went to New Zealand. They came home to us relaxed and in good form. Special thanks for managing Willow’s foot problem so professionally. Also we appreciated seeing the photographs of them on Facebook. That was so reassuring and comforting for us. Thank you! Wishing you all a great 2019. We have been bringing our pets to you for several years and always feel confident in your high standards, professional, accommodating and caring approach. Nothing is too much trouble if it’s in the pets best interests.

How it all began

Michael and I came to Naptha Boarding in March 2012 having searched the country for a boarding facility that would allow us to build a boarding business that we would happily use for our pets. Having used kennels for our German Shepherds and Labradors we were convinced that there was a better way to approach pet boarding. Many kennels and catteries had got left behind with old fashioned ideas and outdated methods. Through our own experiences with boarding we recognised that dogs that had good exercise and got out and met other dogs were more content in their kennels. The large secure paddock was therefore an essential part of our requirements.

Owning cats as well as dogs, we also wanted to provide boarding for cats on the same site and the spacious cattery with large outside runs, set away from the kennels was just what we were looking for.

Since then the business has grown and now employs a small team of fabulous  staff. All of them kind, caring, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable in all thing cats and dogs. We are very proud of what we have created and hope that you will see the passion that we have for animals and customers shining through.

I live on site with my husband Mick, Poppy the cat who we rescued when we lived in France, Finn and Nuala, our lurchers and Jake a rescue German Shepherd who came to stay in the kennels and we just couldn't give up.

I love all animals and but I especially love oriental cats having owned Siamese, Burmese and an Abyssinian in the past.

Since being at Naptha Boarding I have developed a fascination for breed history and how dogs, especially, have changed over the years and how their original purpose affects so much of what they do.

It goes without saying that I love the animals that come and stay with us but even more I love that we provide a service to our customers. As we have learnt over the years it's not all about holidays; there are sadder, more difficult circumstances when your pets need to be taken care of. I love that our customers can rely on us to help them out during these tough times.

I have worked at Naptha Boarding for 9 years and can't imagine doing anything else. I feel very lucky to be able to say that my job is working with animals everyday.

I am very passionate about all animals but especially rescue dogs which I have 4 of myself. We also have a cat who rules them all.

Growing up I had rabbits, guinea pigs and a hamster so I really like it when we have these come to stay so that I can spend time with them.

The most rewarding part of my job is to watch a nervous dog grow in confidence and know that you have been part of its journey.
